I am currently a Senior at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) majoring in B.S. Data Theory and minoring in Digital Humanities. As an inquisitive individual who is fascinated about the power of data in informing real world decisions, I love exploring the numbers behind real-life business, sports and social issues to derive actionable insights.

I enjoy learning about, discussing, and experimenting with new technologies in the ever-growing field. I have worked on a number of different projects in a variety of contexts ranging from internships at companies such McKinsey & Co. to pro-bono start-up client work to datathons to a number of personal projects. My most competent skills lie in using Python to clean data, creatively perform feature engineering, optimize machine learning algorithms, and finally interpret the insights derived from these ML models. Besides this, I am also able to grasp complex technical information, apply it to the client’s business context and precisely synthesize my findings to a non-technical audience.

I enjoy working on projects alongside other individuals, who are passionate about the field of Data Science/Machine Learning. Apart from being an analytic fanatic, I also enjoy going to gym, reading about psychology, investing and mathematics, playing soccer and cricket, and long term investing. As someone who grew up in Hong Kong, served in the Singapore Army and now is studying in the United States, I have always found meeting people from different backgrounds extremely interesting.
